After she ate the fruit, she offered the fruit to her husband. Adam knew that the fruit was forbidden, but he wanted to have the power of knowing good and evil over obeying God and he ate the fruit also. After eating the fruit, they realized that they were naked and hid from God. They did not realize before that they were naked beacuse they were clothed with God's glory. Since they ate the fruit, God's glory was removed. This does not mean that God is not with them, but it means that they cannot be in God's presence as they were before.
In the garden there were many trees, but two trees were different from all the others. One of the trees was called "the tree of life" and the other, "the tree of knowledge of good and evil." God told Adam and Eve that they could eat anything they wanted in the garden, but not to eat the fruit from the tree in the midst of the garden, which was "the tree of knowledge of good and evil. " He told them that if they would eat fruit from this tree, they would die. This meant a spiritual death.
In His Service,
God Bless You and Peace Be With You
God gave Adam and Eve free will because if God made or demanded that Adam and Eve love Him, then it would not be real love. We can see this in our world today when someone is forced into loving, it is not real love. God wants real love and that is why He gives us the freedom to choose to love Him or not.
I pray that God touches your spirit while you read this and you feel His presence all around you.
When God sent Adam and Eve out of the garden, God had to kill an innocent animal to make tunics of skin to clothe them since they were now naked and where not clothed in God's glory. This taught Adam and Eve that without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins. This is why throughout the Bible there are stories of the sacrificing of animals to make an offering to God for repentance of sin. Later, we will see that God sent Jesus as the last sacrifice for our sins and that is why the sacrifice of animals is not done today. Jesus was the final sacrifice and the way for our spirits to be with God forever. We will discuss that in more detail later.
In the beginning there was a garden. This garden was a beautiful place where there was no judgment, sadness, self-idolatry, death, or sin. In the garden there was a man and a woman called Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve were in the garden with God and they had a relationship with God that was good. They were close to God and were able to be in His presence and this provided them pleasure and peace.
God removed Adam and Eve from the garden because a righteous God cannot overlook sin. God's judgment for Adam was that he would have to leave the beautiful garden and have to work hard for food and toil the ground. And even the ground that Adam would have to work would be cursed. Eve's judgment was that she would be ruled by her husband and would bear children in pain. Unfortunately, this sin was passed down through Adam and Eve's generations and that includes us.
Thank you for visiting and taking the time to learn about God's Love Story.
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite you to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
Many times people will make religion complicated and the true Love Story is lost. This is why I want to share this with you, so you understand what God wants is a true relationship with you. Our God is the creator of heaven and earth and He loves all of us unconditionally. If you take the time you will see God's Glory all around you. Just look at our earth and how it is designed for us, it truly is a sign of His glory and love. I hope by reading God's Love Story below that it helps you understand why God sent Jesus and how that accepting Jesus as your Savior reunites you with our Loving Father for eternity. God is our creator and He wants all of us to have a relationship with Him.
God knew what they did, but He called for them and said, where are you? (This is the same for us today as God is calling us back to Him). They told God what they did and God was very sad that this happened and told them that since they ate the forbidden fruit, they would be removed from the garden because they have been cursed with sin and would have sin in their hearts and would die the spiritual death. The Bible talks about two deaths, one being physical and the other being spiritual. We have a physical death when our human body and spirit are separated. Then our spirit will die or it will go on to be with God in heaven. This is hard for some people to understand how God can let that happen. However, God is a loving God and He has a plan for all that want to return to Him. As mentioned before, we have a choice to accept Him (have our spirits be reborn) or reject him.
Many of us have heard of Jesus, but many of us might not truly understand who Jesus is and why He had to die for us. God's Love Story hopefully will help you understand why Jesus had to save us and why He had to die on the cross.
God's Love Story
Satan knew that Eve had a relationship with God, so he was careful in his words and said, you will not die, but your eyes will be opened to what is good and evil, you will become wise, like God that is why God doesn't want you eating the fruit from that tree. Eve pondered what Satan said, and she knew the fruit on the tree was very desirable, and she thought, it would be good to be like God and know good from evil, so she ate the fruit.
One day, Eve was in the garden and a serpent spoke to her. The serpent was a fallen angel and an enemy of God, his name was Satan. Satan wanted to overthrow God and hurt God. Satan knew that God gave Adam and Eve the right to make their own decisions and Satan used that free will to turn them against God.
Many times we plan for our vacations, retirement, and even the weekend; however, are you planning for your Eternity? This life is short, but Eternity is forever. Only you can answer that question and only you can do that planning. If this site has helped you, please tell someone and share it with another person. God loves you!
Satan tricked Eve by lies and deception. (Satan does this to us today by getting us to believe that we should conform to the worldly ways and that we do not need God.) Satan then said to Eve, didn't God say that you could eat from every tree in the garden? Eve responded and said, we are allowed to eat from any tree, but not from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Eve told Satan that God said, we should not eat from that tree or we should die.
God then said to Satan, "Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all cattle And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life and I will put enmity (hatred) between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heal. (Genesis 3: 14-15). This is God telling Satan that He is going to bring a Savior (Jesus) to save His children and Satan will be destroyed.
God loves us and He knew that the only way that this sin (curse) could be removed from us would be to save us and have our spirits reborn again, so after our physical death, our spirits could be with Him in Heaven forever.
If you are not sure if you are saved and you want a personal relationship with God then say the following prayer:
God wants to have a relationship with you today as He did with Adam and Eve in the garden. Accepting Jesus as your Savior is the way to making this happen. When you have a relationship with God, you will be given a sense of peace (Jesus was called the Prince of Peace) knowing that when you die your physical death, when your body and soul separate, your spirit will go to God and you will live in His presence for eternity. The Bible teaches us that Jesus is the way to eternal life, not by doing good deeds, but by accepting Jesus as your Savior. When you truly accept Jesus as your Savior, you will want to do good deeds for Him because of what He did for us.
Thank you again for visiting this website and I pray that each person that reads God's Love Story grows closer to our Father, in this world and for eternity.
I pray that after you read this story, you will have a better understanding of God's Love Story and will build a relationship with Jesus. He loves you and is waiting to comfort you. As the Bible reads,
When Jesus came to this world, He knew that not everyone was going to accept Him, but He came anyway. He came as part of His plan for us to return to Him and have a relationship with Him. But before, we could be reunited with Him in Heavn, He had to die in our place and take all of our sin with Him. On the cross at His crucifixion, Jesus said, "My God My God, why have you forsaken me. " He said these worlds because at that time, He was dying with our sin and was separated from God to remove the sin for those that believed in Him.
This is why God came to our world in human form, as Jesus. God came to our world as Jesus and took on all the sin of the world for you and me and all the generations of Adam and Eve. Many people might have a hard time thinking how God can be Jesus, but think how one person can be a father, son, and even a brother. God knew that He had to be the one to save us, which shows how much He loves us and wants us to be with Him.
"Whoever does not have the Spirit cannot receive the gifts that come from God's Spirit. Such a person really does not understand them, and they seem to be nonsense, because their value can be judged only on a spiritual basis." 1 Corinthians 2: 14 (TEV)
But, the plan and story doesn't end there. After Jesus died, He was resurrected to show that He conquered death. He was resurrected from the dead to teach us that death is conquered and He is the way to eternal life. So, when we accept Jesus as our Savior, we are saying that we want God to come into our hearts and our lives and renew our hearts and be spiritually born again. Once we accept Jesus as our Savior, God sees us cleansed of our sin, because Jesus took away our sin. God then sends the Holy Spirit (The Comforter) to live inside you to help guide you spiritually.
